What does my farmer need to send and receive payments in the customer portal?

Farmers can complete a one-time sign-up to send and receive payments with their grain elevator.

Payments between an elevator and a farmer are business-to-business transactions.  Bushel verifies each business during the one-time onboarding process.  

During the onboarding process, you will be asked for the following information:

First Name
Last Name
Email
Date of Birth
SSN
Address
City
Zip Code
Business Name or DBA
Business Type
Business Classification
EIN
Website
Phone

Sole Proprietorships can be verified by uploading Business documents and Personal IDs.

Acceptable business documents include one or more of the following, as applicable to your sole proprietorship:

  • Fictitious Business Name Statement
  • Certificate of Assumed Name; Business License
  • Sales/Use Tax License
  • Registration of Trade Name
  • EIN documentation (IRS-issued SS4 confirmation letter),
  • Personal documents (license, passport, or ID card): color copy of a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., a driver’s license, passport, or state ID card).

Partnerships, LLCs, and Corporations can be verified with an EIN Letter (IRS-issued SS4 confirmation letter).
